The loggia and clock tower close off the eastern side of Brce, the central square of Kaštel Novi. It is the place where a visitor can best feel the town atmosphere of this Kaštela settlement.
The loggia of the Confraternity of St Peter was built in 1795, and the clock tower somewhat later, in the 19th century. Both buildings were modelled on the public buildings on the square in Trogir. The elongated square is surrounded by two-storey buildings from the end of the 18th century. Through alterations the loggia lost its original shape, but the colonnade can still be made out, while the portal and roof structure mostly preserve their original appearance. Together with the tower it forms a striking yet harmonious whole.
The complex is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-3586.
