On the edge of Zagreb's Upper Town, at the corner of Opatička and Demetrova streets, stands the Erdödy-Drašković Palace. Today it is known as the building that houses the State Archives in Zagreb, and it has served this purpose since 1947. It is located in the City of Zagreb.
It is a semi-detached palace with four wings around an inner courtyard. The two-storey north wing closes a row of representative houses along the former western city rampart, while the single-storey east and south wings form the corner of two streets. The two-storey part was built at the end of the 18th century for Count Aleksandar Erdödy in the late Baroque style. The lower wings were added in the 1830s for Franjo Drašković. The classicist façade of the main part was created after the demolition of the northern city gate in 1838.
The palace is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2582.
