The primary school building is located in Donja Lomnica, in the town of Velika Gorica in Zagreb County, by one of the main streets of the settlement. It is of interest as an example of school architecture from the turn of the 19th to the 20th century.
The building was built in 1900 as a freestanding structure with one upper floor and a rectangular ground plan. The layout is simple and functional: a transverse entrance corridor divides it into two parts, and the rooms on both sides face the street and the courtyard. The main façade is emphasised by forms of simplified late historicism. The central projection (risalit) with the main entrance, which is now walled up, is particularly emphasised by a triangular-ended attic above the roof cornice.
The school building is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-3530 as secular architectural heritage.
