Church of St Thomas, Tomaš

The Church of St Thomas is located in the village of Tomaš, in the area of the town of Bjelovar in Bjelovar-Bilogora County. It is among the oldest Gothic buildings of the Bjelovar area, which makes it of interest to visitors seeking older sacred heritage.

Despite Baroque interventions and alterations from the beginning of the 20th century, it has to a large extent retained its original medieval architectural elements. It is a single-nave building with a rectangular ground plan, and the sanctuary is narrower and closed polygonally. A sacristy is attached to the sanctuary on the north side, and a bell tower stands above the western façade. It dates from the 15th century.

The church is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2113.
