The Church of St Nicholas complex is located on a hill above the settlement of Bistra, in the village of Poljanica Bistranska in the municipality of Bistra, in Zagreb County. It is of interest to visitors who like sacred heritage and viewpoints over the surroundings of Zagreb.
The complex consists of the parish Church of St Nicholas, the old parsonage from 1631, the new parsonage from the 19th century and a wine cellar (klijet) from 1928. The church was built in 1631 by Baron Ivan Mascon as a single-nave building closed by a three-sided apse. The sacristy is by the south side of the sanctuary, and the bell tower by the south wall, flush with the main façade. The barrel vault with lunettes was painted in 1887 by the Roman painter Marko Antonini. Furnishings from the end of the 17th century and from the 19th century have been preserved. The church is a valuable achievement of Baroque sacred architecture.
The complex is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-3526.
