In the middle of Jablanovec, by the road leading from Zagreb towards Bistra, stands the Chapel of St John the Baptist. Written sources say that in the 17th century it replaced an older wooden chapel, and its present form was given by the second half of the 19th century, when it was extended and added to.
The chapel has a single nave and a polygonal sanctuary. Above the entrance axis of the main façade rises a bell tower with a pyramidal tin cap. The walls are simply treated; the only plastic accents are the rusticated quoins at the corners of the façade and the stone frame of the portal with a keystone in a semicircular arch. Particular value is given to it by the preserved sanctuary, covered by a deep barrel vault with lunettes.
The chapel is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5879.
