Church of St Vitus, Komor Začretski

The Church of St Vitus in Komor Začretski has a single nave and is correctly oriented. A wooden chapel originally stood on its site, recorded as early as the 14th century, and around 1630 a newly built masonry chapel is already mentioned. Numerous later alterations gave the present ground plan, resembling a Latin cross.

From the choir gallery, through a nave of one bay, one reaches the narrower sanctuary, beside which two chapels are arranged radially, and behind it is the sacristy. The main façade is simple, finished with a gable, with an entrance portal with a segmental end. The bell tower, with a square ground plan, is on the north side. Inside is kept Baroque furnishing from the 18th century, renovated and partly altered in the 19th century.

The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2098.
