The tower in Marina, in Split-Dalmatia County, is a medieval fortified building in the town itself. It is of interest to visitors who like fortresses on the Adriatic, because it once formed a single defensive whole with the nearby Citadela fortress.
It was built between 1495 and 1500 as the residence of the Bishop of Trogir, Marcello, and a drawbridge connected it with the Citadela. It has a square plan and is built of regularly dressed stone. Its base is battered, with a half-round cornice running around it. On all three floors there are two rectangular windows symmetrically arranged on the façade, and along the top edge three-part merlons that carried a hanging defensive wall have been preserved. The gate of the kaštel is secured by loopholes, above it are the initials with the coat of arms of Bishop Frane Marcello, and a relief Venetian lion can be seen on the tower. The tower was restored in the 1970s and refurbished again in 2007.
The tower is a protected cultural property and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4563.
