St Nicholas Lighthouse, Pučišća

St Nicholas Lighthouse was built at the entrance to the deep bay of Pučišća on the island of Brač, in Split-Dalmatia County. It stands beside the small church of the same name, so visitors touring the bay can see a sacral and a maritime monument together.

The lighthouse belongs to the coastal lights that guided navigation in inland waters by landmarks. It consists of a smaller single-storey stone building with a hipped roof, beside which rises a one-storey lighthouse tower with a polygonal lantern base. It was built at the end of the 19th century and is regarded as an important example of industrial architecture in Dalmatia.

St Nicholas Lighthouse is a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-1870. It is located in the municipality of Pučišća and belongs to the secular architectural heritage.
