The Lalić Tower rises in Gornji Tučepi, in the middle of the hamlet of Srida Sela, in Split-Dalmatia County. It is of interest to visitors to the Makarska Littoral because, according to the description in the Register, it is a unique defensive structure of this region and beyond.
The tower was built before 1662, which is known because it is mentioned in the chronicle of Abbot Šilobadović written between 1662 and 1686. It was built by the local population to defend themselves against Turkish attacks, and originally it stood alone. Later a village square formed in front of it, and houses were attached on the eastern and western sides. The plan is rectangular, measuring 4.50 x 5.5 metres, and it is built of semi-dressed stone in mortar: larger stones at the bottom, and increasingly smaller ones towards the gable. On all façades it has a series of loopholes, and on the south one also smaller openings. Originally it had a gabled roof of stone slabs, which has not survived. Inside are three barrel vaults, which make the tower special.
The Lalić Tower is a protected cultural property, and it is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-6470.
