In addition to museum activities, the Benkovac Local Museum also organizes various cultural events, all in cooperation with the City of Benkovac, the Tourist Board of the City of Benkovac, KUD Branimir Benkovac, and various other associations and institutions. We can invite you to events such as: Ethno festival, various theater performances, workshops and courses for preserving traditional crafts, exhibitions and other similar events.
For its visitors, the museum provides expert guidance to groups around the museum: Kaštel Benković, passing through the Asseria archeological park, the site of Klicevica, and through Karin (Franciscan monastery).
Through our cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Benkovac and KUD Branimir Benkovac, we have started a project of making indigenous souvenirs of the Benkovac area. We may mention here the embroidery of quadruplets and replicas of glass vessels from Asseria, which are filled with Benkovac rose wine.
The museum is open to visitors:
summer period from March 2 to October 31, on days: Monday-Friday between 9am and 2pm
winter period from November 1st to March 1st, in days: Monday-Friday between 9am and 2pm or by appointment
