The beach is exposed to the sun, with no natural shade, which is why it is good to rent an umbrella and protect yourself well with sunscreen.
Bijeca is the most famous beach in Medulin. It is about one kilometre long, and is suitable for everyone. It consists of sand, and is situated on a peninsula, right in front of large pine trees that create natural shade.

The small island is connected by boat lines from the Rovinj harbour, from where you reach your destination in just about 10 minutes.
The island's shore, actually the beach we are describing, is rocky with pebble sections. It is a natural oasis, 500 metres long, near which there are bars and restaurants. The sea is very clean, with pronounced crystal colours and a green contrast from the pine forest rising above the rocks.
In the main part of the beach it is possible to rent sun loungers, and there are also showers, as well as changing cabins and sanitary facilities. Tennis courts will delight the slightly older, while the youngest will enjoy the nearby children's playground.
Besides its unusual name, this beautiful beach has a very long pebble shore. Along its length of one kilometre, large rocks only occasionally emerge from the pebbles, which nevertheless will not disturb your swimming and sunbathing.
It is located within the Villas Rubin tourist resort, and is one of the most visited beaches in this small Istrian town. Although it is situated in front of the tourist resort, the beach is open to all guests. It is one of the largest beaches in Rovinj, which besides the coastal strip offers guests a spacious grassy area ideal for lounging in the summer sun. On the grassy surface you can play ball games, or simply do a running workout or whatever else you do.
