Straško Beach – Novalja, Pag

Pag is known for its alluring beaches, and among them is also the most famous beach in Croatia – Zrće. This time, however, we will describe Straško beach, located south of Novalja. It is a beautiful pebbly beach, stretching for 1.5 km. The entry into the sea is gradual and sandy, so the beach is suitable for the elderly and children. Straško beach has a few catering establishments, namely bars and restaurants. There is also a rich sports offer, so there will be no shortage of fun. This is an excellent place for families, especially parents travelling with children. The beach is adorned by a pine forest, and of course the sea lapping at the shore. Straško beach holds a Blue Flag for the quality and cleanliness of the sea. We have already said that the beach is pebbly, but in some places it is sandy. Just a few metres after entering the sea, you will feel fine sand underfoot. The natural setting of this beach is created by holm oak combined with pine. The aforementioned forest gives the beach natural shade, as well as a special scent that can be felt along the entire Adriatic coast. Besides catering establishments, restaurants and cafés, lifeguards and a first-aid team take care of safety on the beach. The beach is specially adapted for people with disabilities. In addition, Straško beach offers a variety of activities for children, as well as a specially arranged area for pets. One part of the beach is a naturist (FKK) area.
