Zeljovići is a hamlet in Dugi Rat, on the southern slopes of Mosor, surrounded by agricultural land. Visitors will find it interesting as a well-preserved traditional village with paved paths, stone houses and old presses.
The village's main public space is in front of the church of St. Anthony of Padua. The paths between the houses are paved with stone pebbles called kogule. Residential houses and farm buildings form complexes that connect household members of the same surname. The houses are two-storey buildings of dressed stone, with a uniform arrangement of windows and doors with stone frames. The gable roofs are covered with stone slabs. Beside the two-storey houses are single-storey smoke kitchens and farm buildings, and together they form courtyards paved with stone slabs. Several presses for grapes and olives have also been preserved.
The ensemble is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-3703.
Data: Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia (Ministry of Culture and Media), Open Licence; coordinates: DGU (centre of the settlement).
