The hill of Sutulija and the field of Prapatna are located on the southern side of the central part of the island of Korčula, near Smokvica in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The zone will interest those who explore the Korčula hinterland and want to see a prehistoric hillfort together with a Roman villa.
The hill rises 80.7 meters above Mirje bay and the Prapatna field. On top are the remains of a prehistoric hillfort with two collapsed dry-stone ramparts, and the plateau covers about 4000 square meters. The outer rampart, from 3 to 8 meters thick, can be seen from all sides except the north, and the inner one is set back 10 to 15 meters. The plateau inside it is leveled, with an area of about 400 square meters and traces of dry-stone structures. At the Mirje site are the remains of a Roman villa rustica with walls of regularly shaped stone and traces of plaster. Because of dense vegetation the floor plan cannot be determined, and on the surface there is much building material and Roman transport amphorae.
The zone is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-6822.
