Kučište is a settlement on the Pelješac peninsula, in the municipality of Orebić in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Visitors here can swap the beach for a walk through several different parts of the place, from coastal captains' houses to a group of buildings in the hinterland.
The oldest part of the settlement is Donje Kučište, with the church of St. Luke and Our Lady of Luncijata, the Lazarević palace, the Neoclassical palace Palac Lazarević, the Baroque small palace Lazarević and the church of the Holy Trinity from 1752. By the sea there is a row of captains' houses from the 19th century, and toward Zamošće there is an archaeological site in a cave above the bay and the site of a Roman villa rustica. Above the coast stretches Gornje selo, a complex of buildings from the end of the 18th and the 19th century, near which, in the Podstinje area, there is a prehistoric site. Further east is Butirića selo, a compact settlement around the chapel of St. Anthony of Padua from the 19th century.
The ensemble is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code RST-1393-1993.
