The parish church of St George is the main church of Bobovišća. It is interesting because it combines an older bell tower with a new building.
It was built in 1914 on the site of a Baroque church from the 17th century. It is single-nave, with a transept and a rectangular sanctuary, designed in classicist neo-Palladian forms. The late Baroque stone bell tower with a pyramid has been preserved, and the sanctuary and transept of the new church enclose it. The flat ceiling is framed by a profiled cornice, and the walls are divided by masonry pilasters. The newer building here has not erased the old: the old bell tower is still visible within the whole of the church, so two periods can be read in the same building.
The church is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-1874.
