The church of St Mary in the village of Dol, in the municipality of Stari Grad, is an example of a sacred building that grew through several centuries. It is first mentioned in 1331, and its present form dates from the 15th century, with later Baroque alterations. It is located in Split-Dalmatia County.
The church is single-nave, with a square apse, measuring 7.5 by 19 metres. The older part from the 15th century with a pointed vault and transverse ribs is now the central one. In 1621 it was lengthened to the west, and in the 18th century this part was demolished because of dilapidation and rebuilt with the features of local Baroque, with a Baroque portal and oval windows. The bell tower was moved onto a separate high base west of the church. The south entrance has a lintel with the year 1778. On the altar is a painting of Our Lady with the Child, which Kruno Prijatelj dates to 1480 and attributes to a Tuscan master known as the Maestro di Stratonice.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-7001.
