Church of St Catherine, Drašnice

The church of St Catherine is located above the village of Drašnice on the Makarska Riviera, in the municipality of Podgora, in Split-Dalmatia County. It is a goal for walkers who seek quiet places with views and examples of early Baroque building.

It was built in the 17th century, with the characteristics of the early Baroque. It is single-nave, with a square apse. On the main façade are the entrance doors in a stone frame between two square windows, and above them a simple round rosette, on which a bell gable, now collapsed, once rose. The barrel vault of the nave has now collapsed. The apse has a rectangular ground plan and has preserved its barrel vault, and in it can be seen a simple altar with a masonry base and a monolithic stone slab.

The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4793.
