The Gothic little church of St Jerome is located by the sea, on the northwestern side of the bay in Stari Grad on the island of Hvar. It is small but picturesque, and a hospice is connected with it.
It is a single-nave building, ending in a semicircular apse, and the roof is covered with stone slabs. A hospice was added facing the church façade, with a relief of St Jerome with an inscription built into it. On the south façade a damaged relief of the Mother of God with the Child can be seen. The church dates from 1385, so it is one of the older buildings in the bay. It stands right on the seashore, which gives a visitor an appealing scene for photography and a short rest during a stroll along the waterfront.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5086.
