The Mirje site is located in the eastern part of the Bradat field, in the northern part of the Vela Luka bay, in the town of Vela Luka on the island of Korčula, in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. It is of interest to visitors drawn to the ancient past of the island.
At this location the remains of a Roman country villa, a so-called villa rustica, have been preserved. Parts of walls, floors and mosaics, a cistern, parts of installations for processing products, and graves have survived. In addition, numerous movable objects have been found. All of this points to a significant ancient building complex, which, judging by the finds, can be placed in the period from the 2nd to the 7th century.
The site is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5528. It belongs to the archaeological heritage.
