Peace is a salt lake located within the Nature Park of Telašćica on a long island. The lake was created after the last ice age when the sea level was raised to about 120 meters, and through numerous underground cracks the karst depression was filled with the sea. Lake area is 0.23 km², length is about 900 meters, and in the widest part of the lake it measures 300 meters. The particularity of the lake is greater in the sea and higher amplitude in the summer, so summer in the lake is extremely hot, while winter is colder than in the open sea. The lakeshore is largely low and rocky, but in one part there is sand and medicinal mud.
