Makarska Crab and Shellfish Museum

The Museum exhibits species that inhabit the Adriatic, which is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the underwater world of the blue depths of our sea.

The museum is located in the old town center, and it shows only the species that live in the Adriatic Sea, mainly from the Makarska aquatorium. The museum has been located at the same address for 40 years - Fr. Filip Grabovac, No. 3. It has preserved and exhibited more than 250 species of fish and crustaceans, mostly specimens caught by local fishermen. The wealth of fish and crustaceans that inhabited the waters of the Adriatic was first collected, edited and exposed to the public by Jure Glavicic.
