Veprinac is a medieval settlement in the town of Opatija, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. It is interesting to a visitor as a place with Glagolitic inscriptions carved in stone and with a preserved part of the town wall.

It is first recorded in 1372. According to the surviving inscriptions it was a centre of Glagolitic literacy and an independent commune with a statute from 1500. The settlement developed on the slope below the Gothic, later Baroquised Church of St Mark and the enclosed cemetery. Part of the rampart has been preserved, and at the bottom of the slope, by the entrance to the place, are the town gate, the loggia and the Gothic Chapel of St Anne.

A protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2693.

Data: Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia (Ministry of Culture and Media), Open Licence.
