The ruins of the old town of Ledenice are located near Ledenice in the town of Novi Vinodolski, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. For a visitor they are interesting as the remnant of one of the nine towns that created the Vinodol Law Code.
In 1288 the fortified town belonged to the Counts of Krk, and its representatives took part in the adoption of the law. Typologically it is a fortified town with a castle in the middle, reinforced by two semicircular towers, beside a section of the town wall. The entrance is beside the former parish Church of St Stephen and its once freestanding bell tower. The remains of residential buildings follow the contour lines of the terrain, so an almost regular arrangement of smaller buildings below the castle can be seen. Nearby is a circular cemetery enclosed by a dry-stone wall, with a monumental entrance and the remains of the little Church of St George.
The ruins are a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-6979.
