On the Podgora waterfront stands a public fountain from 1898, a small structure that speaks of the everyday life of former residents. It is located in Podgora, in Split-Dalmatia County, today between two residential buildings, beside a local road.
According to historical sources, a stone bench once stood beside the fountain, and poplars were planted. At the end of the 20th century the taps were closed, and the surrounding area changed. The fountain shows how important spring water was for the place, since it was used both for drinking and for washing laundry. In addition, it was a place of meeting and conversation, a place where residents gathered and where various social relations were formed.
The fountain is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5663.
