Humac is a hamlet near the village of Vrisnik, in the municipality of Jelsa, in Split-Dalmatia County. For visitors it is interesting as a rare example of a village fully integrated into the landscape through dry-stone building, unique in all of Dalmatia.
Humac and Vrisnik form a single whole, so only the church of Sts. John and Paul from the 19th century and the barlog, a water reservoir, are shared. The people of Vrisnik used the village during long field work in the vineyards, later also in the olive groves and lavender fields. Many cisterns and wine presses have been preserved. Most of the houses are single-storey. The oldest residential and almost all farm buildings, stables and konobas, are built dry, without binder, and the roofs are covered with stone slabs.
A protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4459.
