The underwater archaeological zones are located in the coastal waters of the island of Krk, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. They are of interest to divers and researchers because they comprise eight separate areas along the Krk coast.
All eight zones have the status of an underwater archaeological site. The first runs from Cape Vošćice to Njivice and includes Voz bay, Omišalj bay, Sepen bay and Beli Kamik. The second extends between Čavlena bay and Spena. The third begins at Lončarica bay, ends at Cape Druženin and contains Soline bay. The fourth leads from Cape Petrina to Kostrejčica bay, and the fifth connects the bays of Male Jane and Mali Bok. The sixth takes in the Bay of Krk as far as Crikvena Punta, the seventh the coast of Bašćanska Draga up to the bay of Male Luke. The eighth covers the waters of the island of Prvić, from Cape Stražica to the reef of Njivice. The finds belong to the period from the 1st to the 5th century.
The zones are a protected cultural good and are entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code RRI-0177.
