In the Nečujam cove on the island of Šolta, in Split-Dalmatia County, lie the ruins of the church of St Peter. On the shore by the sea, it combines the remains of a medieval church with nearby monuments, and a visitor can make out traces of painted decoration.
The church was built in the 14th or 15th century of roughly dressed stone. Only the semicircular apse with a raised sanctuary and a masonry antependium has been preserved, while the side walls can be seen in the foundations. On the inner walls traces of painting remain. It belonged to the provost of Split, Dujam Balistić, a friend of Marko Marulić. Right beside it are the remains of an ancient wall, and next to it stands the votive little church of the Mother of God, Our Lady of Ostrovo, built in 1938.
The remains are a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4887. They are located in the municipality of Šolta.
