Church of St Eustace, Plano

The Gothic chapel of St Eustace stands on the top of the Krban hill, above the mills at Pantan, over the Trogir Little Field. From this height there is a view of the surroundings of Trogir, so it is also interesting as a lookout point.

It was built as a votive offering for deliverance from the great plague of 1348, with contributions from the Trogir nobles Dujam Mihovil Celi and Jakov Petrov Sus. The position was important for controlling Trogir's territory. Because of the proximity of the Turks and neglect, the church had already fallen badly into disrepair in the 17th century. It is single-nave, with a semicircular apse. After research the wooden roof structure was reconstructed, and a Gothic inscription MATHEUS that had been found was built into the interior.

The church is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-3685.
