On the slopes of Biokovo, in the surroundings of Makarska in Split-Dalmatia County, amid cypresses and pines stands the church of St Anthony of Padua in Kotišina. It is a peaceful destination for walkers, and through its position the church is an important sacred monument of the Makarska littoral.
The area in front of the church is levelled and bounded by dry-stone walls. It is built of white hewn stone, and the gabled roof is covered with red tiles. It is a single-nave building 19 metres long and 7.5 metres wide, with a rectangular apse and a pentagonal sacristy. On the façade is a bell gable with two bells and an entrance with a semicircular arch. The sanctuary is separated from the nave by a chancel arch and raised by two steps. The altar is stone with marble parts from the 1940s, and the statues of St Anthony, St John of Nepomuk and the Immaculate Conception were made by Tyrolean workshops. Above the entrance is a wooden choir loft with a narrow winding staircase.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-6649.
