Cultural and Historical Ensemble of Trdoslavići, Jesenovik

Trdoslavići is a hamlet near Jesenovik, in the municipality of Kršan in Istria County. For visitors it is interesting as a document of the modest but centuries-long uninterrupted organization of village space in Istria.

The complex of ruined single-storey houses shows how the houses of the Istrian peasant probably looked in the early and developed Middle Ages. These are single-room single-storey houses built dry, with a plant-material roof and a raised gable. The settlement fits the older type of village along the Jasenovik-Nova Vas-Šušnjevica line, with which it forms a historic ensemble. The hamlet belongs to the period from the 15th to the 19th century.

The ensemble is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code RRI-0293-1972.
