The canyon of Draga and Perun extends across the area of Mošćenička Draga in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, between the localities of Potoki, Podtrebišća, Trebišća and Jurčići. Here the natural landscape is intertwined with traces of old beliefs, making it a destination for curious hikers.
The area is rich in caves and pits, the most significant being Podosojna and Druška peć and the half-cave Zijavica. The hamlet of Trebišća is an archaeological asset with an especially large number of Old Slavic and Old Croatian toponyms. According to the etymology of the name, the place was where a sacred oak was felled, part of Old Slavic rites and sacrifices to the gods. The peak of Perun dominates the zone, and a larger area of very black soil with pottery fragments, as well as the name itself, suggests that it was a place of worship of Perun. The zone is dated to the 7th century.
The zone is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2733.
