The building of the Gallery of Fine Arts on Europska avenija in Osijek was once a family villa, and today is a cultural institution.
The villa of Dr Dragutin and Adela Neumann was designed by Josip pl. Vancaš in 1895. The house belonged to a distinguished citizen of Osijek and president of the Croatian Parliament. It stands on a corner, has a playful ground plan and a recognisable style, as an example of late historicism with neo-Renaissance elements. Inside, works by fine artists are exhibited today. The façade is distinguished by a harmonious and clean composition, in which a balanced grid of openings predominates.
The building is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2336.
