Main Beach – Rovanjska

A little south of the town centre is the main beach for all guests staying in this area. The beautiful sandy-pebbly beach is several hundred metres long, with a view stretching over the whole bay and the southern Velebit. The advantages of the beach are clean sea and no big crowds even at the height of the season, an ideal place to relax. Some locals call this beach the „Afghanistan beach” because of the lack of greenery around it. On the beach there is a food and drink stand, and there is also the Beach Bar Fjaka, which operates in summer. Footwear is advisable for entering the sea because of the rocks in some parts.
